If you are interested in using OATS to access the latest release of OpenQuake and you meet the requirements that are necessary to get OATS working, please read the Terms and Conditions of Use carefully, and fill in the form below to request an account.
Requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. You will be contacted by OpenQuake’s Community Manager within 5 working days. Following approval of the request, the Community Manager will send you an email with user-account information and information on how to get started executing your own calculations, or using the demo-files that are available to you.
Terms and Conditions of Use
The following Terms and Conditions of Use apply for use of OATS, which is operated by the GEM-Model Facility (GEM-MF):
- OATS is intended for trial use and running light calculations, not for commercial use, stress testing or heavy computations. If you are interested in the latter, please contact us at info@openquake.org with information about your specific objectives
- GEM-MF notifies account holders, via the OpenQuake Alpha Users mailing list, of planned maintenance and upgrades to the service
- Any data and models provided with the User account are only intended for demonstration purposes and are not to be considered scientifically correct or accurate
- GEM-MF may terminate calculations if they are impacting other users of the service
- GEM-MF reserves the right to refuse registration of, or cancel an OpenQuake Alpha Testing Service User account
- GEM-MF is not able to guarantee data security within the OpenQuake Alpha Testing Service
- GEM-MF is not responsible for back up of data or models created by the user
- GEM-MF may be monitoring system usage for performance and usage statistics
- GEM-MF may change, suspend or discontinue the OATS service including any content (including, but not limited to text, data, information, input models, produced results) for any reason, at any time
- GEM-MF will review each account after a 30 day period
- GEM-MF asks OATS users to participate in user experience research and to acknowledge OpenQuake when the application is used to carry out calculations in an academic context, and results are published
